Water Use Report

Water use amounts are reported by water users, based on measurements, or in some cases, estimates. The Department makes reasonable efforts to screen the data for quality control; however, the Water Resources Department cannot accept responsibility for errors, omissions, or accuracy of the information. Notification of any errors or comments is appreciated. Send notifications to owrd.waterusereporting@water.oregon.gov or call 971-345-7489.

After locating a Water Right, a link to "View Reported Water Use" will appear in the "Documents" section of the page if the right is set up for reporting of water use. Click on that link to view the reported use.
If there is no "View Reported Water Use" link in the "Documents" section of the page, the right is one of the 83% of rights not set up for water use reporting.

Summary/Statistical Report

Approximately 17% of water rights are required to report use. Therefore, the amount of water reported for a geographic area represents only a sample of the total water used.
