07/09/2021David A Arnold The use of our ground water to fill ponds for recreation and aesthetics is not what I would call benefical use. Ground water from the upper Tumalo area, is drinking water for us in Tumalo. There are to many request for gound water to fill lakes and ponds by those who can afford it. While those of us down stream have to deepen our wells to have water. If folks want a swimming hole build a pool not a lake that use almost 10 acre feet of water. I believe that any request to use ground water to fill water ski lakes and private swimming ponds should be made illeagel and not allowed.
